These electric drill bit sharpeners that you see advertised,do they
Work and are they any good ?
Is replacement the `way to go`? The drill bits I mean .
Some I`ve seen are £9.99p others are perhaps £79.99p. Whats the
Difference ?

Unless you get thru a significant amount of bits it's pointless spending money on a sharpener, I just do it by hand on a bench grinder.

Agreed. Plenty of instruction "how to" online. Hold it up against the light to check centre of point. I've done it this way for 40 odd years, and it gives a decent cut and sufficient accuracy for most metalwork let alone woodwork.
 
Buy top quality drills never cheap ones, look for Dormer / SKF they are about the best you can get, and will last longer before sharpening is necessary.
