I am trying to put some heating into a cottage I'm restoring. Ive had quotes for oil fired - highly expensive! As we dont have gas in the area Im thinking it must be electric.
The cottage is quite small - Lounge 12' x 12', similar sized bedroom. kitchen 9' x 9', bathroom 8' x 7' and hallway about 12' x 7'.

Can anyone give me some advice as to what heating I need to think about please.

Electric will be hideously expensive to run, it's by far the most expensive way to heat a property. Look again at oil or alternatively LPG, either as bulk or (more expensively) on cylinders, running a combi boiler. GSHP and solar are worth looking at if you can get grants, if you can't then the installation costs will make you choke on your coffee!
