Electric shower internal leak

Electric shower, triton kiko.

Noticed it leaking from the bottom while in use. removed the cover to reveal the leak coming from the joint arrowed:

Ive not stripped it down but i looks like the joint between the contrasting black and white plastic is bonded in such a way that makes it non serviceable but im wondering what is causing the leak and if there is anything i can do to repair/fix it?

Not certain ,but pretty sure they can separate and O ring seal makes watertight joint between them.

Correct. It's just a push fit with an o-ring.

To be fair the existing o-ring looks to be in good shape and there's no debris in or around the seat.

Will give everything a clean and replace the o-ring anyway and hopefully we should be good to go
