Hello, The electric shower seems to have died. A few years ago the pull cord ws the fault. So Im assuming it might be again. Ive unscrewed it (isolated it first) Everything seems ok. Is it worth buying another pullcord switch and replacing it to see if that does the trick. If so is that a diy thing. Thanks if you can give ny advice.

What’s actually happening with the shower? Are you able to test the supply to the shower?
do you have a multi-meter and can you safely use ?
Hello people.
The light doesnt come on on either the switch or shower. No sign of life at all.
I'll have alook for my multimeter (dont know how to use it in this case)
I only know power is getting to the switch. I have one of those LAP pens that beeps.

Probably the switch. You need to measure voltage live to neutral at the feed cable ,and live to earth at the same cable.

Have you checked at your consumer unit? Make sure a mcb/rcd hasn’t tripped.
