if a mira9kw shower is to be replaced by a mira9.5 shower does the wiring have to be up graded

What size circuit is it at the moment?
Hopefully it will be 40A, if so then providing it was installed correctly in the first place it is adequate.

That depends on whether or not your existing installation is capable of supporting a 9.5kW shower.
