i'm having a new boiler fitted in an extension and was wondering about the electiric supply to it.the plumber has asked for a spur to run it off and six wires to go to the airing cupboard.the problem i've got is do i run the boiler feed off the extension ring main or the upstairs ring main to keep it the same as the rest of the central heating system

Whaddaya mean? , rest of the system? Unless you're powering the boiler from one ring and the programmer from the other, which is definitly not ok!
