Electric vehicles an interesting video

Hydrogen cars cost a fortune to buy and to run. At the moment the best analogy you can give them is they are the Betamax to battery cars VHS.

Even if they were a better concept, which I don't agree with, they've missed their chance and aren't going to happen.
Interesting Minion.. I say that because not too far from me there's a development group focused on a new prototype of hydrogen powered vehicles.. a few of the people on board I would say are respectable.

Anyway what would say is the future?

You can get used electric cars like the Nissan Leaf very cheap, but there aren’t yet many ways to refurb the cells, so you can find a car might not hold enough range to do 50 miles in the winter.

If you can stump 40k then the model 3 Tesla gets you a car with a decent 150+ mile range good 0-60 (5 seconds) a decent top speed of a 140mph along with a good warranty and decent innovation. But still that’s a chunk of money

Maybe they'll find a way to make the fuel cells and storage tanks cheaply enough that they are much cheaper than batteries. But the odds don't seem good for that.

The only way I've seen hydrogen potentially make sense is the Nikola trucks in the US, where they build the infrastructure and vehicles to avoid the chicken and egg problem. But even that seems pretty weak.

Battery is my bet for the future, perhaps more battery range extenders like the i3 for full on road warriors. Having said that with the reality of 150kW chargers even that is borderline now.
