Electric windows won’t open Golf Mk 7

More than happy to do that. I’m just not keen on having to remove all the screws and connectors prior to taking the door panel off. If that is necessary to replace master switch module?)

AFAIK, yes. I managed to remove the switch module on my Octavia (horizontally mounted in the armrest) without removing the door panel.

Whether you can do this with later designs, I'm not sure.

In my case, the unit had a central clip that could be depressed by inserting a wide flat blade driver under the switch surround. But I can't say if this will work in your case.

I wouldn't like you to try it and then damage something.
