Understood. He says it has to be covered, ie in plassy flex conduit, another freind says it doesn't???? bangs head.

Bottom line, by the weekend I will have laid this cable, in flex, if no one can determine otherwise, failsafe yeah??, just trying not to waste any pennies.

You're right which was my intention as stated above, just couldn't get the definitive answer with ref to regs
