Got lots of 'little' electrical jobs around the house and don't know anything about electrics (can just about rewire a plub  ) - does anyone know of a basic electrical training course. I'd feel more happier/safer being taught than learning from a book etc.

We're having more substantial electrical work doing later in the year so could get everything checked/certified then (is that legit?)

ETA - did a C&G (Decorating) course at my local technology college...and they do lots of construction courses but all seems to require working in the industry (eg apprenticeships)

Not allowed to advertise on here but try Googling something like Builder Training or Electrical Training - there are some centres that do two day or four half day training as a basic foundation course in electrics. Without that knowledge they wont let you do any Part P courses.
