I am considering installing a 10m/a rcd on a garden lighing circuit cascading it down from the main 30m/a rcd in the consumer unit.
Anyone see any problems?

I don't think a 10mA will discriminate with a 30mA device tbh. Can the 10mA device be fed from a non-RCD source?

what an odd thing to say..

if the lights get moisure in them and start to leak 11mA then the 10mA will trip and the 30mA won't...

ok, granted that in the scenario of "some idiot puts a spade through the wire" then it's a toss up which will trip first..

I saw an install yesterday that had a 32A RF circuit on 30mA RCD, then a Sentry Socket with 10mA on.
