I have a radiator which is noisy when the TRV is in the partially closed state. Do electronic TRVs switch directly from open to completely closed or do they have a partially closed state?
Thanks

Is the TRV complained about an "electronic" type?I have a radiator which is noisy when the TRV is in the partially closed state. Do electronic TRVs switch directly from open to completely closed or do they have a partially closed state?

you may find them even noisier because the motor makes a noise too

I'm not keen on that because the radiator is a 3m long single, so it needs quite a large flow to do its job.
I have electronic TRVs and I wouldn't describe the noise they make on changing the valve position 'barely' noticeable. People often ask me what the noise is.Barely.
Barely.
