Electronic TRVs

Hi Dan,

Which ones do you have that are barely audible?
Mine are really too loud for a bedroom; they are "Rondostats".
I was saying mine are not 'barely' audible. You notice when they change the valve position, i.e they're fairly noisy. Mine are ELV Max!

Sorry AquaheatI, i really did not imagine that anyone could possibly find my conversational approach offensive.

Thank you for your help.
Tony

Not taken as offensive at all just a simple thank you goes a long way even if you choose not to listen.

The advice I have offered would probably cure your problem. Just try. Humour me!

As for the TRV noise from electronic ones. Some are better than others. DanR runs evohome. (found it ironic it changed that to economy which autocorrect!)

Noise is a very subjective thing. They are very quiet but when you are not used to it they are loud. It's the same as people that live next to a train line and never hear it. I can hear clocks ticking in others homes, bubbles running through the heating the whine in the fridge compressor. They never hear it.

I'm an Evohome installer, my system at home no longer uses hr92 heads. But the noise they make is very quiet, but variable depending on the throw of the valve.

After all, you are turning a cd player motor on plastic cogs acting on the pin and spring of the valve.
