Seeking advice on removing embossed wallpaper. It's in a hallway and has to come off. It's been on the wall for over 30 years.

This is a rental property I have just acquired and whilst I want to do a good job I don't want to spend a huge amount of dough. Time is not an issue.

Best advice please gents.

Well a wallpaper steamer would be your best bet, yet first you need to score the surface of the wallcovering in order for the steam to reactivate the paste. Sanding with around 80 grit should be enough, Earlex do the steamers and they are not that expensive.

Go with the Earlex range dont go overboard on price you should be able to pick one up for around £20 to £30, seen them in B&Q and Tesco.
