What is the best way to wire the permanent feed of a circuit of maintained emergency lights. Use the unswitched lighting supply feed or run a seperate unswitched supply wire back to a seperate mcb on the distribution board? Also is there a recognised requirement for the incorporation of test switches ie how many per number of lights and where should they be sited in relation to normal switch positions and distribution board.

thanks

The switched live supply must be on the same circuit as the permanent live otherwise you will have a shared neutral (don't get me started about them!!). It has got to be asked, are you competent to be doing this?
