Hello. I would some advice to what the component is on the left of the consumer unit. The photos are of it below. The front says EEC and the side says stoves. I have searched the Internet but no joy on the company or tech info.

Thanks
Paul

I take it you have electric heating?

Guess there's a timer somewhere?

I'll eat my hat, the more I look the less my first post makes sense!

13 amp feed in via a plug (looks like flex), then 4 16 amp mcb's, new colour cabling and a Contanctor / relay unit?

What's sort of place is it and are there no clues regarding slightly odd set ups with lighting or the like in the rooms (those cables do go somewhere)?

I hate not knowing, maybe I should know

The ccu is for a static mobile home. The circuits are for sockets and lights. Just want to know what the component is not specifically what it's doing in this set up unless it has multi tasks then ill need to return and see what the exact circuits are.

The reason I don't know is because this has come to light following me not being at the site.

Bottom line is that the obvious searches aren't finding anything of relavence

My suspiscion it's some kind of unit to allow a large load to be used on a small supply without risking tripping out the supply by disconnecting the large load if total power consumption gets too high.

Might be worth giving stoves a call and asking if they recognise the part number.

The ccu is for a static mobile home.
That is the clue, it might be a limiter to limit the total amount of power that can be taken. If there is no meter then it is almost certain a max load limiter.

The incomer needs some strain relief to prevent it being tugged out of the terminals of the RCD.

Thanks for all your help. I'm being contacted tomorrow by stoves as their tech dept were unfamiliar as its a deleted product so one of the more senior people who has been there longer will hopefully know. Then ill let you know. Thanks very much
