energy saving bulbs on dimmers!!!

hi all.
Have a dimmer which is rated 40w-400w, seen energy saving bulbs which are dimmable...but they are 11w, so i take it they are not compatable with the dimmer...is this right? can you get dimmers with no min wattage?

You can get dimmers suited for energy saving lamps, they have a min rating about 9 watts or something
 
Hi.....varilight do a low load dimmer that will dim between 1 to 6 dimmable CFLs up to a max 120w..
