energy saving

In the auto electrics we have used HF units for years and there are many different makes and types. It is likely some will have an auto shut down.

I found best method was to have a timed tube replacement program because of the failure rate of ballasts with failed tubes.

I tried to resist the move to HF as long as I could because of the RF produced but very hard to find any 12v units now which are not HF.

Even when tube has blown it does tend to leak away some of the high strike voltage and you do have some time where you can replace the tube without damage.

I am not sure as to the difference between single and twin contact tubes maybe the single contact type are different only seen them in Ex rated lamps.

i dont have any pictures here at home of the tests, but basically 90% of the ballasts burnt out / blew up within 4 months of being fitted, some with potentially fire starting burnouts.

for some reason, fitting HF in the same circuit as old fittings ruins the lot, over time.

Many of his other posts have been far more revealing. Photographs of in-store equipment have also been posted in the past.

It would be hypocritical for me to comment any further.
