when driving for a period of around 10 mins at anything over 70mph my car seems to slow a little (bit like hitting a gust of wind head on) for a second or 2 then regains speed but the engine check light comes on. If i slow to under 70 it goes back off, can anyone shed some light as to whats happening?

I would guess there would be a problem with the air mass meter or turbo actuator, but as the management lamp has been on, a fault code will have been stored which should point you in the right direction once the code has been read.
John :)

The car is a Diesel ......................

We have a 1.9TDi VW and it does exactly the same, without the light coming on. You have to let your foot off the pedal and go again. Its fine then, no fault codes coming up, any ideas?
