I am going to lay a rustic oak 18mm engineered boards in my dining room. The floor is concrete, and has been down a long time so it should be dried out.
I would appreciate advice on what underlay I should use for these boards, the room doesn't seem damp at all but should I be cautious?
Also, can I add some form of under-board heating? I am not up for digging up the concrete and laying a pipe system, I was thinking more along the lines of some form of heating mat. And if this is feasible, what type should I choose, and does it go between the underlay and the board, or do I need a DPM first, heating mat, underlay, board (I am concerned we may be a bit elevated here ).
Thanks for any suggestions
Bob
