I need to lay engineered board on top of concrete which is over old foundations. It's a strip about 500mm wide, then a step to one side and the original timber flooring on the other. The majority of it is very old concrete, some more recent where a wall was recently demolished and levelled (about 2 months old), and then a very thin (20mm tapering to nothing) strip of rapid setting cement. Part of the concrete will have 6mm ply and it will all have the green foam underlay

Do I need a moisture membrane? If so, do I need to worry about where it meets the timber floor and can anyone recommend a product?

Thanks
