Can anyone recommend a good and inexpensive epoxy resin for filling small holes and larger gaps in external wood - ie. doors and windows? I\\\'m thinking of the type of stuff that places like Ventrolla use to renovate sash windows.

i use car body filler for the small holes and car bridger (fibreglass strands mixed with resin) for big ones. they dry very quick, for this kind of work you can often sand after 10 mins and paint after 20, and the finish and durability are spot on!

Several of the timber merchants around me keep it but that may be because the makers are only a few miles away, you could e-mail them for a stockist [email protected] or they may sell direct I have picked up fibreglass materials from them in the past.

Or order it direct from the link I posted above.
