Has anyone tried ESP instead of all of the standard preparation in painting old varnished/stained doors? I was wondering what all of the 'DYI' experts thought of the product and if it lives up to its reputation?

I have never used ESP on stained/varnished anything, but I have used it loads of times on melamine, plastic fake wood panels, old formica type kraaaaap, and its fantastic.
It actually does what it says on the tin.
It is a great product, and the paint actually sticks, and doesnt peel off, and the beauty of it all, you dont have to spend hours on prep.
