Hi, I've read a few helpful posts on here regarding these two issues.

A posting in 2024, was regarding a sensible upgrade path to a Euro version10 by swapping the PCB over and adding a digi wifi model for app use of arming / disarming / activation reports etc? Only problem is, now the Euro 46 v10 is discontinued isn't it?

Our system is bell only but the previous installer has put engineer only restore on tampers and we had to remove a PIR sensor for redec and plastering. I have read a few posts on powering down the unit which I can do, but haven't yet for fear of having an alarm sounding for hours.

I can remove the box cover an remove the battery lead. But will the bell sounder still work off it's own battery?

I don't know if I've got the sequence rigght but I'm putting together from other threads.. Is this right? o
Or please PM if you don't what to publish and I'll remove this part of post.

I do have user codes and the manager code but not the engineer code and it is not the default. Tks

open box cover.
tamper alarm sounds, disarm system with key tag.
Remove panel - battery backup connection
Turn off consumer isolator
Restore power
Hold down yes key for long time
Enter engineer area

Hi, Back again. Thanks for the previous help. Have my 2017 v9.10ar system working now. Thank you.

If I still want to get app control and setting / unset etc via app. I need either a 46 v10 or a 76 per earlier replies.

As far as the IP module, I've discounted wifi, as I'd rather run ethernet, but choice between Digi lan and Digi gprs?

Does digi gprs use 2G / 3G / 4G or 5G?

Clearly there is a resilience advantage with GPRS and a self contained sim, but if it is so slow as to render the whole thing frustrating, I think I would put up with the Lan despite the lack of power or internet connectivity resilience.

Have the cards under gone upgrades, as there's quite a few around on ebay, but several look different in the exact PCB chips and design for both lan and gprs cards?

I’ve got a couple of sites on digi gprs , they seem no different to using a digi WiFi/ lan card ….but the yearly app subscription is more ….both sites don’t have WiFi available so this was the only choice ….but on a plus point they aren’t effected by power cuts due to not going via a router

Ok, yes thanks. I guess it would only be small data messages to send set, unset report on status...
