What i didn't know about the EU, the other day there was some geezer on the box sayin; Germany has never had it so good as in selling BMs and Mercs, and how the whole thing was tilted in their favour, so the onus is on Merkel to bail out Greece....... and Spain................... and Potugal ...................and ...............................and
And where is Nigle Farant lately.

Well,,, to be honest, I think Germany wants a Superstate of Europe (but only with Germany at the helm) They tried it in the late 30's/ early 40's, but lost out. Now they're trying it by stealth.

To be honest JJ, that was the second attempt, 1914 being the first.

It is a scary thought that what is happening in Europe is real and going on under our noses. The rules and regulations that come from Brussles for many years, we can see now have been designed to benefit German and French manufacturing and business and to cripple British industry.... The only industry that had kept our heads above water for so long is the British financial services industry and the EUSSR has this firmly in their sights now.

Having spoken to members of my family in Germany, even the German public have had enough, although Geman industry is having a field day (Easier to do when the competition has been wiped out by mad rules from the EU) the German people are taxed to death and are pretty cheesed off too.

Don't walk away from the EU......RUN

Well the average German on the street isn't doing so well out of it they are woking harder for less but the big corporations are doing very well indeed.

Hopfully the Euro and the EU will soon be a part of history

The euro will not fail.
The superstate comes first. The lagging countries of course will have to go.
Into slow speed oblivion.
Then the germans will launch the big bazooka and the euro will gain strength.

Here! here! then we can get on with the rest of our lives, cheap holidays in Greece £1 = 10;000dracmar or buy a cheap villa in Spain with schekals or whatever.

I beg to differ, THE EURO WILL FAIL, the writing was on the wall when we had that European monetary system 20 odd yrs ago.

Saying the euro will fail is like saying germany will fail.
It aint gonna happen. Its wishfull thinking!

Euro will be gone by the end of next year.
The superstate does indeed come first but the lagging countries must stay in the Euro, if they leave then the next thing that they do will be to go bump and the money owed to the big European banks will just never be paid.
The big bazooka has a broken trigger...And no ammunition

Spain is looking likely to be the next country to fail. The Spanish government said earlier in the week they wouldn't ask for a bailout, until an audit had been completed. Financial experts said they'd be asking for bailout money today. and guess what,,,,,,

The only country that benefits from the EU (as an institution, and not just a free trade block), is Brussels.

It's a huge source of jobs and income for a country that otherwise would have no significance or source of wealth.
