EV Charger into CU or Direct

Hi all,

I've got a Rolec WallPod Type 1 charger (J1772 i think the model is) that has it's own RCD (not sure what type) and i'm going to get it installed on the wall outside which has my external electrical (incoming) meter box on and on the inside of that wall is my CU so although i'm going to find an Electrician to install it i'm just about to embark in re-decorating the room (and the wall) where my CU is so do these EV Chargers get connected into the CU with SWA cable or do they get installed directly into the Meter box outside as i've seen different information looking like it can be either ? The reason i ask is that if they are going to run cabling through the wall to the CU then i'll wait to decorate after it's installed but if it's going into the meter box then i can crack on now ?
I've not arranged an electrician yet but just want to get a heads up ?

I rather think it’s down to the spark who comes on site to make a proper assessment and advise you

I would hold off doing the decorating in the meantime
