hi there a happy new year to you all.could you tell me what comes out of the flue of a combi boiler.my neighbour as had a new one fitted to out room next tomy garage.as my house and garage is built higher than neighbour the fumes are going under the roof felt and into garage.also if the breeze is in the right direction it will go over roof and into landing window.hope you can help.cheers

Can you take a pic at all, and take any measurements??

Its byproducts of combustion - carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, water.......

You can add to the list then :D :D

Air is 78% nitrogen, so I would expect to find NO2 in there!! Or am I just being stupid?

you should have no hinder from your neighbour's boiler.
what exactly are you trying to find out about the flue gas?

CH4 +2O2 = CO2 2H2O With trace of nitrogen oxides

think this was the equation you wanted

CH4 + 2(O2 + 3.76N2) -> CO2 + 2H2O + 7.52N2

There is mainly nitrogen about 78%
co2 10%
o2 5%
small trace of co if not fully burnt
rest is h20 (water)

nope i was giving the products of combustion nitrogen is not a product of combustion as it is inert and passes through the reaction in the same state as it started. where as the oxygen the carbon and the hydrogen all mix and change into something else

If your neighbour has had a new condensating boiler fitted and pluming is affecting your property, ask them (nicely)if they could get their plumber back to fit an extension to the flue. This should take it up and away from your property.

Most new condensating boilers have these parts available precisely to combat this problem.

who are you saying nope to? :?

and dont forget nitrosoxide. and carbonic acid

saying nope to snb forelahyde is formed on heat exchangers when the flame temp is to low ,
Explain how carbonic acid is formed during this process of combustion if you would
