hello,
Have recently purchased a house (semi detached) and thinking about installing a stove fire (coal/wood/combi).

The family (middle room) had its chimney removed (is capped of in the loft with 2x Steel brackets and steel plate).

In the front room it has an existing open fire place. The previous owner used this on a regular basis (either wood or coal fire).

But thinking about have a stove fire.

Just wondering what kind of work is involved? Approx cost and what materials would be required and what is a decent stove to use. ]

Could I install this myself? or best to get someone to do it?
Or is a open fire ok ?

Your thoughts and suggestions welcome!
Have attached pics to show current fire place and chimney area from the exisitng open fire place.
