Existing olive re use ?

Replace on the old olive. If it doesn't leak, then job done. If it does leak, then you'll have to change olive.
Many a pro would take this course.

F sake all this about changing a valve. If the thread is the same change it .
Different slip - who cares It will pull up. Old olives Boss white or green.

I don't know what the trade will be like in another 10 years :confused:

Ptfe or boss universal jointing compound on the olive

In tony defence i dont think he was talking about PTFE on the olive but on the thread,At least i hope he was because i use it in front of the olive but thats only when i cant find the boss universal each time everytime wether new olive or old

Boss white, the plumbers perfume, masks the smell of every other perfume ;)

Get home late smelling of that and all you'll get is "you,ve been working with pipes again"
