Hi,

We're in the middle of laying some reclaimed pine boards. They have been in the house a few weeks and seem very dry. The room is 12m aprox x 4m (3m for approx half of that). Stupidly we're laying the boards across the room. We have left 15mm expansion joints arround the edge, but should we also add some breaks?

A bit of research suggests a 10mm gap every 6m? Is that right? Also can I fill this with cork? I'm getting conflicting advice. It's all open plan living kitchen diner so want it to look as even as possible.

Many thanks,

Charles
