Exploding shower pump! ...

... well more of a loud pop

Sat in the bath tonight when I heard a loud 'POP' and gushing water noises. It came from the airing cupboard where the shower pump sits for the ensuite.

Water was gushing out of it. So off with the supplies. Loads of buckets and mops etc and the usual panic

There was no damage to the hoses so the damage must be inside.

I was wondering if anyone has come across this before?

I must admit it's a basic shower pump, nothing Gucci
