Hello

I've just lowered the front garden by 6" to fix a damp issue - my previous front path was above the DPC for reasons known only to the previous occupants.

It has left a strip of bare brick, which is obviously bad as damp will penetrate.

What should sit here to protect it - I guess some sort of pvc ledge/ sill? Can't find anything obvious which fits the bill sold as a separate item from composite door companies.

Also interest in non-pvc solutions as most pvc looks rubbish (and it is a 19th century house).

Cheers!
Ed

Pvc trim Maybe black to match the drain or could go with some slate (naturally damp proof) might need to dig it down a bit to prevent blocking the drainage on the door
