exposing floorboards

Just pulled up carpet and MDF to find floorboards in good condition underneath.
Would like to expose these but at the edge of the skirting, the MDF continues under a dry wall into the next room. How can I cut the MDF clean at the skirting board so that it doesn't show?

do you think you could use this to channel plaster for wiring, as its not spinning it might make less mess.

I have used a similar tool from Lidl to cut chases in plasterboard and it worked well.

It also managed old plaster on the wall with no problem, however I would not think it was tough enough to go through brick without a carbide cutting attachment, readily available on ebay, but what you save in cleaning up, you lose in the time it would take...
