I have a small (bedroom with one double socket) to which I need to add two more double sockets. Original socket will simply power low voltage lighting whilst the other 2 will power PC, printer, DVD and TV.

What is the best method of achieving this?

Any help gratefully received.

:D

firstly have you checked the existing socket is on the ring?

best way is to head down to your local homebase, you will find some double sockets that (while rebranded on the outer packaging) are made up from GETs rocca modular range (note the stuff homebase sell as rocca is from GETs non modular rocca range) and are actually two independent sockets on one plate.

then you can connect one leg of the existing ring and one peice of new cable to each socket, job done and should be easier than trying to join in the backbox.

yes the existing socket is on the ring.

I will try to find the sockets you mentioned. Cheers

You what?

Surely, if the existing socket is on the ring, it's a simple case of extending the ring to include the new points. Or am I missing something here?

this is what I was intendinmg but thought I would ask first. If this is possible I also need to be exactly sure of how this is done. Is it simply a case of using a suitable junction box or do you add the sockets as per the rest on the ring?

Thanks in advance
