Hi, we have a log cabin in our garden which we want to move 20 metres further down. It has 3 double sockets and internal and external lights. Power comes through armour cabling direct from fuse board. Can we join onto existing cable through a junction box or should the cable be one continous length. Also, when we had work done originally, it was carried out at the same time as a new fuse board got fitted and we got issued with correct paper work. Something to do with 'Part P'(!) Would i need extra/more certificates for above work. We will be using correct tradesperson for the job. Thankyou in advance.

That is the proper way to do it. Mind you, under lawn it should be buried a lot, lot deeper.!

Alternatively it could be jointed above ground using a suitably IP-rated enclosure.

And yes, you'll need to get the paperwork done again because the circuit characteristics will have changed.
