Hi all,

My driveway currently has some old block paving on it and I am hoping to extend it slightly - by adding an area about 6' square. Obviously the blocks are well-weathered after 10+ years and I'm a bit worried that the new section will stick out like a sore thumb. Does anybody have any suggestions? Is there any place I could get reclaimed paving from or have I just got to hope that the new section weathers quickly?

Thanks.

are the paviors concrete or clay?

if they are clay then they are likely to be reversible, just flip 'em over.

if they are conc's, then the best you could do is power wash and perhaps re-lay them mingling old with new. in this case, you would need to be using the exact same block i.e. same manufacturer, style and size.

if using a different block then a definitive join will be necessary, though the pattern could be maintained.
