extending cable in ceiling rose

hi i went to replace a ceiling rose in my house and one red wire is a touch on the short side and doesn't reach its terminal, i used a terminal and a strand of lighting cable to extend it, Will this be ok the light is working fine

basically NO.
can you get a photo of your extension wire so a more constructive answer can be given.
did you use a terminal connector to extend short wire,basically these can work lose and produce arching and sparking then a ceiling fire.
although your light works is no way of proving it is safe.
