Hello all..

Could anyone advise me as to whether i can extend conrete fence posts at all..?
I have fitted a raised decking area and the original 6ft fence needs to be raised by about another 2ft, only for about 4 panels width.
I have the materials to make some panels fitted with a willow insert to sit on the top but i want to make sure it is sturdy enough..
Is there such a product that will allow me to extend the posts..?

Thanks

Jason

Can be done so not it's impossible but need to know the 2nd answer below first.

You will be going 8' high so you may need building regs approval (?) but I can't see your layout, a photo would be great if you can

over 6'6' will need planning(unless your neighbours are happy with it). Its unlikely that any posts will take any wind loading either in relation to the foundations.

met post do an extending sleeve to allow you to extend them higher.

Is this verbally or can it be written agreement on a scrap bit of paper?

A friend of mine is having this probem when the neighbour said okay but changed their mind afterward!

The fence needs to be raised over 3 panels and the small block built wall on the left of the pic. The neighbour is happy with the plans and if needed he would write an agreement.

Is this not the extender for the wooden posts..? f not can antone find me a link at all...

Thanks again
Jason

if you go over 6'6" then strictly speaking it needs planning permission, regardless of if your neighbour agrees or not. If it is in a rear garden it is extremly unlikely that planning will find out about it, however the only one who will complain will be your neighbour, so make sure theyre happy first!
