Extending more than 3 metres

We are looking to extend our kitchen at the back of our house. Its a 1930s end of terrace. I would like to do it under permitted development but ideally I would like to go a little over 3m; probably around 3.6m which would rule that out.

The back door is in a little lean-too off the back. Any chance the planning chaps would let us measure from that rather the main back wall?

Has there been any other extensions developments to the property in the past?

It all counts even connies.

Nothing since it was built. All original as far as I can tell.

Thanks. Looks like the 3m limit is from the wall that is being extended, which I suppose makes sense. 3m or planning permission for me then.
