I'm wish to extend the eaves of my exisitng roof so I have more of an overhand over the walls. Is there a method to do this - without having to reroof?

Thanks in advance

you can make sprockets, which fix along side the existing rafters and birdsmouth onto the wall plate.

these will be strong enough to accommodate a deeper soffit.

make sure the sprockets are sturdy and snug fitting.

100x50mm timber may be enough, provided the pitch isn't too shallow and the over hang too large.

Mermer, can you email me a pic of your roof? (or post pic on here)
