We've just paid £10k for a 4.7m x 3m shell to be built (including 2 x velux's, 1 x upvc window and door).

This was in Staffs.

That was for
- excavation and casting of footings,
- standard brick and block build including cavity closers and drytherm infill,
- floor slab (inc 100mm insulation),
- roof construction, tiles, velux's, flashings, leadwork etc
- window, door, fascia's and guttering,
- slight drainage alteration,
- gravel infill to finish around exterior
- removal of existing patio doors
- removal of all spoil and waste (2 10yd skips)

On top of that was £500 approx for building regs fees and approx £1.5k for electrics, plastering etc.[/list]

cheap then...

We are certainly pleased about the price and quality of work, done by a reputable FMB accredited builder.

Quotes for fully finished ranged from £15k to £18k.
