Hiya,

Basically we are looking at maybe buying this house at an auction (so quite cheap) BUT the guy who used to own it obviously rented out each room (and packed far too many people in).

The main thing is that there is an extension at the back, not the best in the world but to me looks OK and the roof, to me seems fine. I would be grateful if anybody here could give the pics a quick look, in particular the side picture where there is no render at the top and give me your opinions.

Thanks,
Jim

P.S. I have also included a picture of the boiler/plumbing - thought it may raise a smile.

I have just finished building our extension, so hopefully can give some ideas.
Firstly you will need to make sure it has been signed off by a building inspector and complies with all safety and energy legislations.

The roof looks Ok as far as flat roofs go. You will need to make sure it is the correct material for the job as some builders will cut corners and use shed felt!!

Strange that the boiler was not put on an external wall as the flue looks ugly.

Facsia, soffits and guttering will need to be replaced.

It does look quite sound though from the pictures.
