Extension roof height.

My extension is well under way, almost to plate level. However, due to my structural engineer's recommendation to use a 200 mm timber ringbeam rather than steel ridge and hip as per the achitects drawing, the roof would end up 150mm higher than on the planning permission.
Would this be likely to cause any issues? I could if I had to, stick to original height and lower the pitch.

Whoops, should have said it's single storey and there are no other buildings in the vicinity.
 
150mm on a roof is nothing. If anyone complained to the council, you might get the odd threatening letter, but they won't take action.
