After some advice on our rear extension please.

Our builder has built our pitched roof to over-hang our neighbour’s garage. We’re concerned about encroachment and have asked him to cut our roof back to the boundary and leave the flashing across the gap. He’s agreeing but says it’s the wrong thing to do, stating currently our new roof stops any water going down the gap between their garage and our extension. Any thoughts on what we should do? No party wall agreement in place. Thanks

Needs some better photos and some more context as to who owns what and where the boundary is, you're quite right the boundary should not be breached, sounds like the drawings were crap/non existent.

That does look a bit complicated from the images and there is so much that either looks wrong or is wrong such as the boundary definition, the copings overhanging your new roof and the mortar beneath them looks cracked, the fact that the roof covering doesn't look like it will keep water out for too long and has no raised curb to stop run off, also what is the rectangular thing below the verge ? i am assuming it is a lead soaker but why is it visible there ? and not to mention the angle of the downpipe and where exactly does it discharge to ?
