External Consumer Unit

Don't know if I've mentioned this before (I am senile now, as you know) but I've just watched DIY SOS again where the two families came together as the parents sadly died. On the external wall perpendicular to the front door was a consumer unit!!

Are you sure that it wasn't in a porch of some sort - I've seen that done.

Did it look as if it might have an appropriate IP rating fro its location?
