External door wont open

Hi all, my External door wont open.

My backdoor latch appears stuck, the door unlocks ( multi poit lock) the handle moves slightly but the latch doesn't move.

My question is there a way to 'unjam' this ? i see some a small hole on the handle, possibly for a hex key ? would this allow me to move the handle more freely ?

i dont was to usew too much for on the handle and snap it off leaving the door unable to close/lock and unsecure.

Any help is much appreciated.

To update on this. I had the handle off and face plate. The latch is now completely loose so is unaffected by the handle. The door is still unable to open though even when unlocked. Anybody know how to get rid of this latch so I can open The door? Got an axe I could try and snap it with if all else fails
