Hello
I'm looking to install a split air con system I have an external wall with a double socket inside and was thinking to run a spur from the internal socket through the wall to an Isolator switch for the out side unit but what is the best cable for this please (so that it is all water tight and neat)

Thank you

What is the power rating of the aircon? what are the other loads on the circuit? What type of socket circuit is it? do you intend the cable to go straight into the back of the isolator or do you intend there to be a surface run on the outside wall in between?

As a general rule loads fed from a socket circuit should be no more than 3KW and if not plugged in with a 13A plug should be supplied via a FCU. You also need to think about total load on the circuit.
