Swapping an old fan that had a transformer, removed transformer and there were SL N and L wires

Put them into new fan and the fan just gets constant live and stays on even with light switched off. Tried it with 2 new fans and both fans same issue, different models.

And yes, with the old fan it turned off after 10 mins overrun.

I swapped the wires over and it's the same issue...

What model is/are your new fan/s?
Do they have humidity sensors?
Did you take any photos of the old fans wiring and your new fans wiring?
If you put your old fan back the way it was, does it work correctly?

upload pics of the rose switch and fan wiring with each end identified

When i turn light switch on, nothing, but when i turn it back off again then it kicks in.

I know that electricity doesn't know what colour wires it is flowing through, but why have you connected a brown to N, and a blue to L ?
