Hi all newbie here. I have a question to ask, im going to fit an extractor fan in the bathroom, it does have a timer but I was wondering if I could wire it up to a one click switch instead of the the main lights or those god unsightly pull cords so to simply hit the button before jumping in the shower. Any advice and wiring diagrams would be much helpful.cheers

Yes you can.

You will need a supply with L, N & E and
three core and earth from switch to the fan.

The manufacturers instructions may require you to fit a 3A fuse and a three-pole isolator.

To Com at switch connect supply L and fan Permanent L (brown).
To L1 at switch connect fan Timer switched Live (grey).

Connect the supply N and fan N (black or blue) together in a connector block.
Connect the two CPCs (Earths, sleeved green&yellow) to the switch E if the switch is metal or to the back box if the switch is plastic.

where will you position this switch? hopefully not next to the shower, it will need to be outside of the zones.
