Fitting a wc and sink into a large 'store room' off of our hallway. At the moment there is a fixed window in the room so I'm planning to add an extractor for ventilation.
I'm a bit unsure about siting the extractor (or more precisely the hole for the extractor!). The distance either side of the window on the external wall is 300 mm, the height of the window is 600 mm (window width ~ 400 mm). Would it be ok to put the 100 mm hole for the extractor in this area next to the window but under it's lintel if it only left ~150 mm between the hole and the window?
